National Pharmacy Technician Day

pharmacy

October is National Pharmacy Month, and October 20 is designated as a day for honoring pharmacy technicians. This is a great month to celebrate those who fill our needs when we’re coughing and sneezing—or worse. Kudos to pharmacy techs for their patience, calm explanations, and accurate measurements. You help keep America healthy and strong.

Inter-American Water Day

water

October 3 is Inter-American Water Day. It is a date intended to make us aware of the importance of having good drinking water. I read that a lack of clean water is the Number 1 global risk and is Number 8 on the likelihood of becoming a world crisis. I think it’s already a crisis, because more than 750 million people don’t have access to clean water, and nearly 1 million people die each year from disease caused by a lack of clean water. Celebrate today by enjoying a glass of clean water and by making an effort to conserve water.

Psalm 65:9 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.
